Where Am I Going?

Apparently readers like pics.  Here’s a pic.

It’s only been three days since I last wrote, and while I realize 72 hours is not the lengthiest period of time, considering I have several drafts saved and a notebook of miscellaneous things written up I should be able to produce more regular content.  But, I have to admit, I don’t know what I should post next.  My blog is not quite a month old so I’m not too concerned about having things all figured out at this stage, but it seems a good time to try to work out what sort of direction this thing is heading, or to decide if the utter randomness thing that is my usual style is working best for me or not. Middle of the Night Poetry – The 4:30am ramblings of an insomniac

I’ve suffered insomnia as far back as I can remember.  As a kid being scared of the dark I’d lie terrified all night.  As a teenager being awake all night was my alone time.  Once I was of legal age, it was party fun time.  In my 20’s it was productive time.  Now in my 30’s it sucks the life right out of me, and plays tricks with my mind.

I’ve learned ways to keep it regularly at bay, yet certain triggers flare it up.  This past week’s extreme weather changes did just that.  I can fumble somewhat capably and coherently through my days, but at nights when I am able to lie back and give up trying to be functional for a few short hours my tired brain through sleep deprivation induced delirium – kind of a half asleep dream like state – occasionally comes up with things I on a normal day would not.
