Well, I have been taking a few weeks break from the blogging world for a bit. Have needed to get caught up on some life stuff that I just couldn’t put off anymore. That being said, I have spent the bulk of today going through my newsfeed, trying to get caught up on a little bit of what I have missed over here at good ol’ WordPress.
I’ve had some laughs and giggles, have learned a few things, and have sympathized with a few of you, and am eager for some more of it! I have been busy lately. If you’ve read any of my previous posts you already know that I’ve been working at trying to simplify and declutter my home and my life. I’ve done another round of house purging, I’ve finally started (after 3 plus years) decorating, I’ve been working my way through clearing out my closets and I have not been having an easy time with any of it. Through it all the one roadblock I keep coming up against that has made every decision on what to toss, put up, what to keep such a painstaking process is I have no idea what my style is. I have no idea what type of image I want to project, if I have an image at all, if things are age appropriate and what my image says about me and what, if anything, I would even want it to say. And yes, this is one of those girly/first world problems/consumerism type posts. Sometimes it’s just necessary to take a break and head on over to the shallow end of the pool. I am a huge proponent of the staycation and advocate strongly for living someplace you love and learning where you live. Why bother? Because you spend the majority of your waking hours and life there. Why would you not want to? There is always something new to be discovered, something beautiful to be found, something unique to do, a special tradition or culture in which to immerse yourself, and a history all it’s own just waiting to be discovered no matter where you live.
